I’m fascinated by the “making of” by Russ (in the ‘About’ section of the Fissure site) which details not only the ideas and inspiration behind the film but the practical difficulties of making an independent, low-budget film and how to overcome them, from locations and casting to using your own digital tech to save several thousand dollars on visual effects that can actually be done on your own computer with a bit of know-how.
